I am primarily an oil painter, finding my inspiration in both local colour and everyday objects. I prefer to work from life and, wherever possible, en plein air and have painted abroad in France (lots!), Italy, Poland and Australia as well as in the UK. Oil is a wonderful medium because of its richness of texture and translucency and the depth of colour achievable in depicting the world around us.
