Kevin J. Williams

Ealing born Kevin J. Williams (aka Kossi), studied at the Byam Shaw School of Art (1978-79), then Goldsmiths College (University of London) 1979-83: BA Hons in Fine Art & PGCE. From 1983-85 he taught Art, Film & Photography at White Hart Lane Secondary School, Wood Green N22. From 1985-93 he ran the community darkrooms at the Masbro Centre, London W14. A published author, with an extensive background in the British Childcare and Criminal Justice systems, Kevin resurrected his visual arts side in 2021 after a hiatus of more than three decades. His colourful paintings explore perspective, geometry and iconography, focussing on the Ankh, the Akua Ba, Adinkra symbols and more. In autumn 2023 he rediscovered his love of printmaking, so please Watch This Space.
